MAKE SCOTLAND ROUND PERMANENT ADDITION

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Make Scotland Great Again

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Oh My God, the sheer amount of enjoyment people got out of this round after all the salt from the previous rounds makes it a good one to throw in every now and then just to ease the Salt Levels.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Remove all Firearms/Explosives from vendors, replace with Claymores and Energy Shields. Armor is replaced with kilts, helmets and boots.

Xenos are spawned in at random evolutions to counter massive Marine charge in the beginning. Give them Fire Breathing Ravagers to make it truly a medieval experience.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): It's already been done once. Just do it again more often.

+1 YES! Even as a xeno player this was incredibly refreshing and fun.
Buff the Scotsmen a little with more speed, but remove all kind of other marine weapons that were sneaked in (That rocket launcher and the pulse rifles).

As much as this is fun as hell the first time around, if it's made a regular thing it's going to need proper balancing/implementation, as the gimmick will quickly wear off when xenos actually know how to counter it and everyone gets bored of having one and only weapon.

An update didn't work and the marines didn't have weapons, so the admins spawned armor, shields, swords and kilts in the briefing room for everyone, and told them they needed to meta rush the xenos. Hilarity and patriotism ensued

Apop tried to implement a balance patch to the attachments, unfortunately the balance patch locked marines out of the vendors. So the admins spawned in a hundred kilts, claymores and shields and every marine lined up while bagpipe music played and charged from the river and butchered the queen in seconds. For Scotland of course.

Once every Friday, for people to unwind.

No gamemode suggestions, but this requires little to no coding from what I see, as it all uses stuff we already have, the only changes being removal of the guns. Keep attachments though, need a bayonet for my claymore. It could definitely be a thing eventually, but as I've seen right about now, we're working on the Nightmare gamemode.

If you accidentally observe, you can staffwho to see if there are any game admins online. They can send you back to the lobby to join. We wouldn't want you to miss out on a special event because you accidentally clicked a button.

The thing about this is, Scotland round IS already a thing. The admins just have to delete the weapons and spawn the items for it to happen. The only suggestion here is "Do it on a regular schedule"
