Engineering Job ban

Post by TheMusician321 » 06 Nov 2016, 07:35

Your Byond ID: TheMusician321

Character Name:Ed 'Wafflecone' Martin

Type Of Ban (Job-ban, Timed Ban, Permaban):Job ban

Admin who banned you (if known):Biolock

Total Ban Duration:Permanent

Remaining Duration:Permanent

What other servers do you play on? LLJK RP on occasion.

Are you now or have you been banned on any of them? Nope.

Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): Shocked attachments vendor then went SSD in a fire safety closet.

Link to previous appeals for the same ban (if applicable):

Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): The reason I shocked the Attachments vendor was to prevent a riot of marines as there was no CT/RO and I hacked open the door and hacked into attachments vendor to distribute it, I did go SSD inside tool storage as I was getting major long-lasting lag spikes (that still continue to this day) and planned to rejoin when it was over so I went to go read a book on my bed and ended up falling asleep forgetting to un-shock the attachments vendor, sorry for my mistake but it was around 2-3 AM in the morning when I did it.

I can understand mistakes made when you're exhausted, I sympathize with that, I do. However, when I'm tired I don't take roles that are potentially critical to the round.

You shocking that vendor put two different players in soft crit. Unless there's exceptionally good reason to shock something on the station, I would stray away from it. It's not an effective preventative measure since any oncoming requisitions officer or cargo tech would probably end up shocking themselves at least once before realizing they'd need to have the machine un-shocked.

Finally, it's been a fair amount of time since the incident, and I support the job-ban being lifted. I'm texting from my phone right now, so I can't do it myself at the moment.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

I've hopefully saved everyone some time and lifted this ban Sua Sponte style.
