Whitelisting the queen, or if not that time-lock

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): The queen dictates EVERYONES level of fun, xenos and marines, and if they are incompetent it ruins the entire round, sometimes for more than 2 hours. Either white-list the queen, and anyone who applies is accepted. If a queen is generally bad and not trying to learn, fine. But if it is found they are doing it on purpose, revoke their queen pass.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Allows for a lot better hives/marine/xeno fun, Constant attacks that cause you to die for the queen, not allowing anyone to leave the caves, ever. Asking xenos to kill themselves, them not speaking or understanding english very well ect

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Either there would be a forum post where you can apply and be accepted. It would not be hard at all, just don't have really bad notes. If no white-list queen is playing, or they tick a box at the start of the game saying 'Don't want to be queen' then other drones can evolve to BE queen. It would only restrict people from being queen if others don't want too be it. It would have no chance to be worse than the system we have itself.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): In the character creation screen, with survivor and xeno ect, there could be a box saying 'queen, yes or no?' and if they tick yes, and have been authorized to be a queen, they can be. If they then be a runner or don't evolve INTO the queen, revoke their pass and just ask someone else with one or the general alien chat. This would ONLY be when a moderator or someone who can do this is on, if No admins are on then the old system is in place.
If not this, time-lock is self explanatory. 7 days (or less) for the queen option to be available.
I thought this up a while ago and discussed it with some admins at the time, I thought it would be a good idea to throw it out. I am bad at explaining my idea's but the idea itself should be sound. If you want clarification ask and I shall tell you it, or DM me.
This would only be viable if a mod or someone with power to implement revoking queen passes is on, if not free for all queen. As I said, this has no reason to be worse than the current system.

Im Neutral on this. While a shitty Queen can cripple a hive quite badly it is not a role you can easily whitelist like Predators due to Queens being a vital part of the game.

That is what I am talking about, if no one is whitelisted or wants to be queen, anyone can do it. This is no worse than the current system and can only be better.

Honestly some people that wanna try to play queen let them play queen they need to learn how to play Queen instead of being yelled at cause they didn't know what to do.
And if you want to give them more advice link them to like a few guides that exist on how to play queen so they aren't bad.

Going with a heavy -1, why would queen need to be whitelisted? The queen isn't a special or a once or a few time event character.....its every round. I see this not worth the while tbh. As this would simpy be a waste of coding for the server and time. As well you said something if no whitelisted queen isn't present a drone can be queen which basically negates what your post is. Literally goes against what you intend as well there still will be shite queens no matter what. As well if queens are shit they are shit what can you do? To a certain point if they break rules and such they simply get job banned as queen or you can make a report if so if a queen is real shitty then.

This is mostly so people brand spanking new don't go queen and ruin a round for everyone, but they have to go and ask for a queen-slip, if they care about being queen then that allows them to read/get sent to guides, not joining as queen first off and no idea what to do. I don't see why it SHOULDN'T be put in place, easy enough to do for the possible positives that could come of it.

There needs to be a Queen. Without the Queen, the Xenos do not evolve. They have no connection to the Hive Mind. They have no structure. The only reason they got away with it in the first Alien movie is because at that point, they weren't sure if they were going to have a hive mentality. To top that off, the first Alien was a Drone, which is capable of Queen evolution anyway.

Xenos need a Queen. If there's no whitelisted Queen on, there are no Xenos.

Whitelisting Queen will mean that there might not be whitelisted on at the time and the Xenos will just die, because a Queen is essential, unlike a CO.

Timelocking Queen will have a similar effect, for a few days after implementation.

Queens are an open role, and will remain as such. If they screw up badly, request a job-ban.

It would be completely pointless. Just have nobody go whitelist and this change does nothing. But as soon as someone goes whitelist? Suddenly everyone's locked from becoming queen. Sounds like bullshit to me

Its a Shitty idea

Because the first time I was Queen, I failed super badly (Back in Pre-Alpha *salutes*) but the next time I was better. Then I got better. For awhile I was considered one of the best Queens around. (Then I fucked off when Alpha came around and was forgotten)

We can't do this for practical reasons. You need the queen for the xenos to do anything; it's an essential role. Denied for now.
