Allow headbands to be put on helmets

Post by spartanbobby » 07 Nov 2016, 20:39

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Allow USCM headbands red and green to be put on helmets

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): No longer would marines have to pick between wearing a headband or being able to take a face hugger

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Marines would take their headband and put in on their helmet similar to putting a machete on your helmet but with more effectiveness.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

+1, why must we suffer for wanting to look like badasses? Donors get cool looks, why can't we.

Helmets are a crutch. Bandannas are the mark of a true ultimate badass. If you ever need someone to hide behind, just look for the guys still running around with a bandanna two hours into the round. If you drop in with a helmet, you don't deserve the bandanna.

There is one man, who wears a green beret. He doesn't shit talk, doesn't scream in caps locks, he takes whatever attachments are available and heads to the planet. His beret is a reminder of his limitations, he's not like the other's who know they can take a free hit and over extend. Because of this, he is not only a killer but a survivor.

His name? It's unremarkable with no edgy nickname, therefore I have forgotten it but he is a man, with just a beret.

If youre gonna have your edgy fashion statement of having a headband what like 200 years after theyre cool then you dont deserve a helmet. one or the other. (time for in game)(if this would work for berets then i would be one for this)

Honestly, I'd love to be able to have a headband to add some flare to my helmet, kinda like putting a playing card or the cross on it (which there is only one of, sadly).

More decor items for helmets would be dandy.

Ballistic googles look cooler than a headband, try it sometime. (They can also go around your neck in your mask slot)

The Ballistic Goggles are really cool if you have ever seen them before, good alt for those ballsy-make-xenos-laugh-their-asses-off-instant-hugged marines which get fucked.

You know of course could insted support a thread changing how huggers work but I aint your god...

I personally think more items should be given hugger protection, I'm rather partial to the headset.
