Xeno Naming solution
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): So there has been a lot of debate over whether or not xenos should be able to get a name, and most of the time is shot down because xenos are nameless entities, carbon copies or each-other. I thought about it and read through old suggestions, I didn't see this suggested anywhere, sorry if It was and I missed it. Why not let people apply to get a certain xeno number every time they play xeno? This would make getting recognized as a xeno player easier while also maintaining the faceless killers idea
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): make it so xeno players are recognized too
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Only one player can get a number, so if I want 15 its first come first serve, nobody else can have 15, and I will always be 15 when I join as an alien unless I go queen since your BYOND ID is listed at round end, so you get credit anyway.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): I think it should be possible to tag a number to a BYOND ID, though I do think it would be hard to prevent repeats/other people getting that number since I imagine its just a random number generator.

Ok, but you get a lot of new players who play once then never again. If this were to happen, you'd need to increase the numbers from 1-999 to like 1-99999 etc

the problem with xenos is that unlike marines, they change hands, if a xeno goes SSD another player can join that xeno and thus one xeno is played by three diffrent ppl sometimes

I read that suggestion and felt that they were more asking full on names, and felt this was a more moderate suggestion and was different enough to be its own topic, if you thinks its too similar too be its own thread then I understand, I can just post a similar idea in that thread

If you read the other suggestion, while they do talk more of full names, it is a xeno "naming" topic. It would be easier to suggest things on one topic instead of two. It's not exactly a duplicate, and if yah lock this one that's different enough to be considered a separate idea you'll make this idea far less visible and hinder its ability to be seen (especially because the other similar idea is a rather dead thread)
But that's just my two cents :P
