MP Armory shutters
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
I hate all the sons of bitches that grab tactical shotguns the moment they spawn in as MP. Put shutters over the armory door that can only be opened by a CO and XO.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
-it'd force the MPs to focus on non-lethal tactics rather than shoot-to-kill tactics during a moderately lethal situation. (IE: Iron Bears, Aggressive Riot/Mutiny, rogue CL/PMCs)
-reduces chance of shitcurity using a semi-automatic shotgun to dispense 'Justice'.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
It'd work just like the Secured Armory in the hanger.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Moderate map changes.

Re: Warden and Armory shutters
How about no, relying on the CO/XO to open the ACTUAL Armoury is a big enough hit to the marines, seeings as 50% of my CO's tell me we don't need the weaponry in it, and the other 50% don't know it exists.

Re: MP Armory shutters
Since MPs run off with the tac shotguns before briefing even begins, this seems pretty needed.

Re: Warden and Armory shutters
I do not think you understand what I'm referring to as the "Armory". I'm talking about the MP Armory. Not the Marine Prep room.Carmac wrote:How about no, relying on the CO/XO to open the ACTUAL Armoury is a big enough hit to the marines, seeings as 50% of my CO's tell me we don't need the weaponry in it, and the other 50% don't know it exists.

Re: MP Armory shutters
A bit of overkill, but generally a good idea. I'm just afraid the Warden would abuse his authority over it.

+1 to this. Especially if this is added in conjunction to the Warden suggestion.

Re: MP Armory shutters
+1 if, and and only if, in conjunction with the Warden idea- The entire idea of the MP force is that they are NOT tied to command, and act independently of it, as enforcers of justice- not the COs/XOs attack dogs. That's already a problem as is, we don't need command being able to completely deny MPs half of their equipment to make it worse. I do agree that the MP armory needs some sort of filter, though, and the Warden/MP Officer is already needed on it's own, regardless of this ideas implementation.

Only if a HoS sort of position gets added to control the MPs. Neutral.

Invalid, MP armory is hidden behind a bulkhead shutter.
