I for one eagerly look forward to Whiskey Outpost and/or HvH with these population numbers
Player limit is sure as hell needed.

we need to optimize our code better to let more people play
200+ is unplayable. Straight up unplayable, i was on a round on prison, i got steam rolled by a crusher because of lag and it didn't gave me time to dodge as my round ping was 3.2 seconds. Gone to crit, after a medic gets me and drags me away, the medic dodges the crusher, but i get crushed again leading me to death with a HEAVY armor.
If pop is going to get constantly over 200 players, i am considering severely in quitting playing as marine and start filling other support jobs like RO/MT/PO/SO
and i returned, and left. and returned again 19/06/2022, this is my life now.

250 is about our limit. THAT being I doubt we'll get that many in the future.
Gotta love them 5-second lag delays and Byond going nuclear crash.

This is a no from me. The minute you put a cap on it you restrict so many things. I would 100% want a server where we can have 300 or 500 people without the lag we have now. By limiting it we handicap progress.
I do get that the current game was not designed for these numbers but we were already working towards it. With maps like desert dam.
Long term this will just handicap us. And the 300+ player round gave us loads of info on what to improve to reduce lag overal.
